We had a Board/Membership Committee meeting on October 1, 2016 where the board voted unanimously to secure Steve Baril, and his firm KVCF, again this year as our lobbyist.
This past year with Steve as our lobbyist we had a 100% success rate defeating bil…ls or getting them withdrawn.
With Steve’s guidance we have garnered a lot of awareness for the VSFA and our cause through sponsoring 3 big political events. Steve also helped us develop relationships with our legislators through our legislative day on the hill and Steve’s persistent networking.
We are are also sponsoring a couple of fund raisers for some of the legislators that we’re key players in helping us defeat some of the bills this past legislative session.
The VSFA looks forward to continued success with Steve as our lobbyist for the upcoming legislative session!
